During her time at Tucson High, she coached the team to the semifinals of state, regionals, and state. Her Salpointe team won state three times and was inducted into the hall of fame twice.

Wendy is the youngest of seven children and has been married to Hector Parra (aka Hues) for 23 years. She works out at the gym, coaches volleyball, and plays beach volleyball. She also has a maltipoo, named Bella.

Wendy’s coaching philosophy:

“A positive experience for all athletes who participate. Providing high quality, competitive, hardworking and good character.  Every athlete should make an effort at every practice and be open minded when the coach is teaching a skill.  As a coach, it will be my job to help the athlete reach their goals with a level of success towards their volleyball career.  I am a strong believer in club, and the athlete will learn the fundamentals that will improve their skills as a volleyball player.  I feel club volleyball opened a lot of doors for me and I hope it will do the same for the athlete.”
